What Is a Pre-Employment Medical Examination?
A pre-employment medical examination is a medical assessment conducted before a person starts employment.

Pre-Employment vs Fitness for Work
A pre-employment medical examination is conducted before employment to assess a prospective employee’s suitability for the relevant work.
A Fitness for Work Assessment is broader and may be required in situations such as return to work, work restrictions, changes in job duties or concerns about an employee’s ability to safely perform specific duties.
